PreferUS, Shulan Ink MOU for International Hospital Project

Shanghai, China, December 17, 2019

PreferUS Healthcare and China-based Shulan Health Management Group have executed an initial Memorandum of Understanding for a Shanghai-based international hospital project. This project will utilize both PreferUS’s strong U.S. hospital management and clinical resources and expertise as well as Shulan’s highly regarded China hospital operational and management capabilities. In cooperation between the two entities, a 500-bed international standards general hospital with a focused specialty of organ transplantation will be established in a coveted area of Shanghai.

Shulan will lead the establishment and construction of the hospital project, including hospital preparation and operational management, upon opening. PreferUS will provide specific consulting services on the hospital’s preparation as well as post-opening quality control oversight services. PreferUS also expects to introduce certain U.S. institutional partners to the project, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. It is believed that Cedar-Sinai’s recognition as the worldwide leader in heart transplantations, as well as other clinical disciplines, scientific research, and medical education, will greatly impact the future success of the project.

The Shulan Group’s Hangzhou Hospital opened in 2015 has become one of China’s most respected and successful private hospitals and has become the largest organ transplant center in the surrounding region of ten million people.

PreferUS Healthcare is a China healthcare consulting, management, and investment company with a China headquarters located in Shanghai. Over the past eleven years, they have assembled a U.S. resource base over one hundred physician investor partners and five major institutional investor partners, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Kerlan-Jobe Institute, Texas Back Institute, and Jakarta-based, Sinarmas.

PreferUS CEO, Michael Franz and Shulan Health Management Group President, Mr. Zheng sign MOU for international hospital project.

PreferUS Chief Executive Officer, Michael Franz, commented, “We are very pleased to begin this cooperation with the Shulan Health Management Group.
